Abstract

|
The visual loss can be caused by variable diseases that involve the afferent visual pathway from retina diseases to the visual cortex lesion. Targeted detailed history taking and the subsequent neuro-ophthalmologic examination in addition to standard neurologic examination can lead to a correct diagnosis. In this article, clinical approaches to diagnose for visual loss are reviewed and some clinical syndromes are described.
